Ekunyi's Embers

Virtual Kemetic Shrine

As a Shemsu in the House of Netjer, I have sworn to place my divined Parents first amongst the gods and spirits I work with and worship. Thus, this small virtual space is predominantly devoted to Set, my Father, and Bast, my Mother. Yet I have also dedicated myself to my Beloveds: Heru-wer, Hethert-Nut, and Heqat. Together, these five entities make up the core group of Netjeru that I consider part of my spiritual family. I honor Them here with creative works, research, and links to the efforts of others — in fields both spiritual and academic — who have devoted time towards the understanding and worship of these five gods.

I invite you to explore the information and art I’ve gathered here, and then explore it again at a later time. This is a permanent work in progress, a constantly growing assortment of hymns, drawings, and essays devoted to the five Netjeru I am closest with. Should you visit anew in a few months time, perhaps there will be something else that speaks to you. I also welcome messages from those who would like to have their own work linked to from one of these gods’ “virtual shrines” that we might walk the path of honoring Them together.
